They must have a thing for each other. There was one funny encounter. The black was in the feeder with a nut, The brown ran along the rail and jumped into the feeder. Black exited on the left to the rail, brown exited on the right to the rail. Didn’t get a shot it happened so fast. They didn’t stay long, but I managed a few shots.
Their presence seems to have kept the young red and black away.

Looks like Red Legs but with a lot more hair.
If those 2 are going to mate, they're going to have to get a lot more sociable.
I haven't seen red legs in a while.
Chasing the female is part of the fun.
